Environmental Stewardship
Located in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah, Crown Cabinets is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes in the United States. Because of our location we realize the need to preserve our environment for future generations. Over the last decade we have reduced our VOC emissions by over 35%. In addition to our clear wood offerings we also offer Knotty varieties. Where many manufacturers are chopping out the knots, we turn them into beautiful, rustic kitchen cabinetry. The highest volume wood through our factory, Knotty Alder, is a very renewable resource, and has one of the highest yields in the industry. Our end paneling also comes in clear or knotty, the knotty paneling generally being waste to most manufacturers. We donate our sawdust by-product to several local horse farms. All of our incoming raw material packaging is recycled. All of these steps, and others we are currently working on, help us reduce our contributions to the landfill and help us in our quest to be environmentally friendly. We work with our suppliers to ensure that our raw materials come from renewable resources where possible. We will continue to improve our environmental stewardardship to ensure that future generations are able to enjoy this beautiful country as we do now!

Utilization of Rustic Woods
Not only do we utilize clear select hardwoods, but we also utilize rustic knotty woods. This practice uses more of the raw material through higher yields and lowers our contribution to the landfill. In the process we offer one of the largest selections of rustic knotty wood door styles in the industry and create some of the most beautiful rustic mountain cabinetry in the west!
